09.30 Tour of NOC, BOSCORF deep ocean coring facility and ITRAX
10.15 Tea/Coffee & biscuits
10.30 To Seminar room for presentations
10.30 – Mario Brito - Vehicles used for Exploration & Their Challenge
11.00 – Angus Best - Hydrates, hydrocarbons and CO2 storage – the role of rock physics in sub-seabed resources exploitation
11.30 – Ian Harding - Arctic climate change, 55-33Ma
12.00 – John Marshall - Petroleum Geology
12.30 – Daniel Jones/Andy Gates – SERPENT project – exploring deep sea biology from offshore drilling rig
13.00 Lunch
14.00 Board Callista for a 3 hour Discover Oceanography session
17.00 Back to dockside and depart
