The North West Branch
The next meeting takes place on Tuesday 17th June 2008,
6.00pm
at the headquarters of Fugro Robertson Ltd, Llandudno LL30 1SA and the
talk is:
The structure, content and growth of
fault zones within sedimentary sequences. (John J. Walsh, AAPG
DLP, University College Dublin)
For further details please contact
John Church or
Sarah Parker. It is
hoped to initiate
informal quarterly meetings to be held at the offices
of Geoscience Wales at the Conwy Business Centre, Llandudno Junction,
Conwy.
The Surrey Branch
The Surrey branch meets on the third Wednesday of every odd month
at The White House pub in Guildford, starting at 18.00. The meeting is completely informal and has no technical
speaker content, being purely a meeting to make and re-new contacts within the oil
industry. Generally we get 30 to 40+ people during the evening so it has
proved to be a good focus for networking.
The White House pub is on the lower part of Guildford High Street beside
the River Wey (on the opposite bank to Debenhams). Over the last year
the following companies have been kind enough to sponsor these meetings - GX Technology,
Hannon Westwood Associates, PGL, Challenge Energy,
Moody Sandman Associates and TGS-NOPEC.. Should your company wish to sponsor one of the evenings please
contact Mike Curtis. A small bar tab
has been covered by the sponsor.
For further information please contact Mike.
