Coming up this month...

The PESGB YPs are proud to launch the Low Oil Price Survival Guide! A light-hearted yet practical look at ‘surviving the downturn’. With advice from leading industry professionals as well as quotes from fellow YPs who have experienced the challenges; this guide should be on the reading list for every YP!

Pick one up at your next PESGB YP event!

The mentoring scheme is in need of Mentors, if you are interested in becoming a mentor or being mentored then please email for further information, with ‘Mentor’ or ‘Mentee’ in the subject.

The monthly evening lectures hosted by the PESGB in both Aberdeen and London form the perfect opportunity to brush up on your technical knowledge; learn about new technologies and network with other oil and gas professionals. If you are attending for the first time, or will be attending alone; representatives from the PESGB YP committee are almost always in attendance so feel free to approach us to have a chat. Check to find out when the next lecture is taking place in your location!

On the 5th and 20th of  April round table discussions were held in London and Aberdeen to talk about the impact of the low oil price on young professionals in the industry. The events were facilitated by Ed Evans, Co-Founder and Managing Director of New Digital Business.

The discussions highlighted the impact that the current situation was having on YPs but also the resilience of those who had managed to find themselves in stable positions in spite of the difficulties. Full review by Ed Evans coming soon...
