PESGB and SEAPEX are pleased to announce the dates for the inaugural Asia Pacific Conference to be held in London in 2018. Following the format of the highly successful SEAPEX Biannual conference in Singapore, the event will feature farmouts, a great technical programme and an extensive and lively exhibition area.
Entitled Asia-Pacific Revisited: New Ideas, New Opportunities, the conference will focus on future possibilities via new regional perspectives, highlighting exploration successes and opportunities on a country or play basis. Companies and Institutions confirmed to speak include BP, Total, Shell, ExxonMobil, Petronas University, Ophir Energy, University of London, Conrad Petroleum, KrisEnergy, and CKR Resources. The conference includes an excellent series of talks covering topics such as SE Asia’s E&P landscape, regional geological syntheses, Myanmar, Malaysia; Indonesia; Vietnam; Cambodia; Australia and Papua New Guinea.
Complimenting the technical programme, the event will host an exciting range of social activities to network with your fellow delegates and make the most of your trip to London. Highlights include a field trip to the classic, well-exposed Jurassic-Cretaceous outcrops of the Wessex Basin, a course by Ian Longley on The Petroleum Geology of SE Asia Overview, a guided walk around an historic area of London, young professionals lunch, and a pub crawl!
