Sigmoid tectonics

Gravity and magnetic satellite data reveals the Earth’s crustal configuration to be seen in unprecedented detail. In fact there is no other survey data acquired that can capture the astonishing long wavelength faulted structure of the Earth. This detail reveals previously invisible correlations with the Earth’s interior organisation.
The resulting patterns confirms the Wilson model, but in addition reveals why subduction and spreading ridges are located where they are. We now understand that Wilson’s discovery of a fourth type of fault (transforms) are actually bound by strike slip faults.

Furthermore they explain why hot spot tracks (e.g. Tristan) and gravity-magnetic defined continental drift patterns (e.g. Africa) are located where they are.
Palaeomagnetic studies must account for the True Polar Wander path. We can explain why between 90Ma and 40Ma Africa appears to rotate counter clockwise.
Evidence will be presented to offer a new unifying plate and plume theory termed sigmoid tectonics.
