Speaker Biography

Chris Flavell holds a BSc in Geology and an MSc in Applied Geophysics from the University of Birmingham. He started his career in 1980 with BP in London and has since worked for a variety of small to large Independent Oil Companies in various technical and managerial roles, as well as consulting for 8 years. Chris’s last oil company role was General Manager of Exploration for Tullow Oil when the company grew rapidly following the discovery of major new oil provinces in Ghana, Uganda and Kenya. Chris is the Chairman of Zinc Consultants, which he founded in 2013.
