Title: Ithaca Energy – production and development insights from our wider portfolio
Ithaca is an established independent U.K. North Sea oil and gas company with production and development activities exclusively on the U.K. Continental Shelf (‘‘UKCS’’). We were founded in 2004 and have been an active U.K. offshore operator and producer since 2008, growing our portfolio of assets through both organic investment programs and acquisitions. On May 29, 2019 we signed an agreement to acquire Chevron North Sea for approximately $2 billion. The transaction added ten producing field interests (four of which are operated) to the existing portfolio of eight producing fields and delivered an approximately fourfold increase in 2P reserves and production.
Our strategy is centred on lower risk production and development-led growth on the UKCS, monetizing the reserves within our asset portfolio, appraising and developing existing oil and gas discoveries and investing in production enhancement opportunities. This short talk will describe the combined asset base and discuss some of the production and reservoir development challenges associated with the key operated hubs, including the ongoing Captain EOR project and the Vorlich Field which will reach first oil this year.
