There will be a series of talks  by industry and academic specialists on the subjects of thin-beds, shaly sands, carbonate and unconventional petrophysics (full agenda on the LPS website: http://lps.org.uk/events/petrophysics-101-2019/).

The event is open to all PESGB and LPS members – not just YPs – and we hope to se many of you there.

Call for Abstracts - closes 15 February 2019

The day will consist of a series of themed talks, aimed at non-petrophysicists, or those with limited experience of petrophysics who wish to develop their petrophysical knowledge.

We are looking for talks at an introductory level on various petrophysical subjects for example:

Shaly sands
Thin bed petrophysics
Unconventional petrophysics (i.e. tight gas)
Carbonate petrophysics
Advanced logging tools

Abstracts should be up to 300 words/one page of A4 and should include one or two illustrations, submitted in Word Document format. We are seeking presentations from Oil & Gas Companies, Service Companies, Independent Consultants, Academia and other interested parties.

This seminar is intended for general technical interest (as opposed to sales or marketing) and we request that the talks are kept technical in nature, with the use of generic rather than trade names.
