Board Members are sought for the Board of PESGB Conferences
The PESGB Conferences is the conference and events company that generates funds for the PESGB Charity.
- Location: currently virtual meetings
- Salary: unremunerated/pro bono
PESGB Conferences is the trading subsidiary of the PESGB. PESGB Conferences stages events where the profits all go back to the PESGB to further its charitable goals and serve the membership. This board is non-elected and is recruited based on skills.
We listen to the members, champion their ideas and interests and through our events support the work of PESGB. Our key stakeholders are the PESGB and its members and partners range from other membership organisations and societies to government organisations, corporate partners, operators, and service companies.
We are an ambitious organisation looking to develop and evolve. We have weathered the ups and downs of the industry and post pandemic we have adapted to move our events to virtual and now hybrid.
This has been a time of innovation for the conferences and events industry, though not through exploration of the creative process, more through sheer determination to offer events to an audience.
We are now looking to recruit board members who share our ambition, have a passion for events and have the drive to help shape our future.
Who we’re looking for:
We are looking for experienced professionals with a genuine and demonstrable interest in the events who will support us on our journey as we build on our past successes and shape our future.
We are particularly interested in receiving applications from people with strategic expertise in a range of areas including finance, risk, charity governance, strategy and leadership and law.
We believe that the best boards are those that reflect the communities they serve, and we are therefore particularly keen to hear from people from under-represented groups.
The Board meet three times per year and maybe called upon to support the PESGB by offering advice, guidance, or ideas on an adhoc basis.
If you have further questions, would like to contact a current board member or would like to apply by letter then please contact, by email, Maria Iredale on email@example.com or Richard Fox on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Applications by letter outlining your reason for applying and what you can bring to the role, please submit to Maria Iredale by 15 March 2021.
