‘Gneiss’ Rocks
Ainsa 1 channel outcrop, 2 km south of Ainsa, Spanish Pyrenees.
Synorogenic Eocene Hecho Group turbidite channels stacked and tilted northwest, and resplendent in Spanish winter morning sun. This abandoned quarry face is one of the most visited geological sites in the world.
