Highlights from the Cumberland & Lake District Branch Meeting
The Cumberland & Lake District Branch met on Sunday 3rd July at 6pm for drinks and meal at the Boot & Shoe Greystoke, near M6 Junction 40.
Four attendees, as many others travelling or working away. Discussions focussed on:
- Recent City fund-raisings on AIM, e.g. Providence, 68 MM USD, Hurricane, 52 MM sterling, Sea Dragon 13 MM USD.
- Evolution of EU political union versus economic/commercial imperatives.
- Impact of recent FTSE and oil share price increases e.g. Shell, illustrated below, up almost 60% since January.
- Gondwana exploration deep-water.
- Cash flow analysis for producing assets and impact of reducing costs, increasing oil price and perceived value of production.
- North and West Africa regional exploration projects.
