My first ever PESGB meeting was in Guildford back in the summer of 2012 and I was unquestionably sold. There’s always been a sense of community and camaraderie amongst its members. I’ve only seen it grow tremendously. I’m pleased to state that my association with our community has been continual.

I thank the PESGB for appointing me as the Aberdeen Director Elect. I decided to apply for it because I believe its time I gave back to our members, what I’ve gained over the years. I would like to see us thrive, especially in these times when everything is practically virtual. With my new role, I would like to support the society continue its exceptional work in terms of lectures, events, YP program, etc.  In addition, I would strive to increase engagement from its members. With the support of the PESGB committee, I would like to identify areas of support needed and create essential learning opportunities for students, seasoned professionals and retirees alike.

Biography:

Andrea is a Geologist and has worked in the O&G service industry for over ten years. She works with HRH Geology as an Account Manager for parts of UK & Europe and calls Aberdeen her home.
