Inaugural Meeting
Tuesday 30 January 2018, 6.30pm
Yorkshire Grey Pub, 2 Theobalds Road, London, WC1X 8PN

PESGB is pleased to inform members that a new Special Interest Group is being created to focus on exploration activities in the UK Onshore, an area which has recently become very topical with the advent of exploration for unconventional resources to complement ongoing activities in more traditional fields. There is a significant amount of activity already taking place in Lancashire, Yorkshire, the East Midlands, and the Weald Basin of southern England, generating a lot of industry and public interest.

The objective of this SIG is to provide a semi-formal forum for members currently engaged, formerly engaged, or just interested in UK Onshore exploration, to meet on a quarterly basis to exchange ideas and experiences and discuss developing techniques applicable to land-based exploration. Operators and contractors will be invited to give presentations which might also interest members engaged in landward exploration elsewhere. It is intended that meetings will follow other SIGs’ formats and be held in locations where refreshments will be available.

If any member would like to assist in helping to run this new group, please contact Ben King at PESGB or Jerry Field (jerry.field@egdon-resources.com)
