The Aberdeen YPs organised a Beer School at the Christmas Granite City Reception, held at the home of the North East’s premier craft brewers, Brewdog. The event was a great success and tasters were treated to a wide range of Brewdog’s craft beers, including the notorious Punk IPA. Staff from Brewdog were on hand to tell the story of each of the samples, including the ingredients, recipes and secrets behind the famous beers.

The sessions were a great opportunity for attendees to network in a relaxed atmosphere, comparing tasting notes and personal favourites. Apparently petroleum geoscientists have a real passion for good beer…who knew?!
