On Wednesday 11 April, PESGB attended the Careers Fair held in the Jane Herdman Building in the Department of Earth, Ocean and Ecological Sciences at the University of Liverpool.

At this unique event arranged by Iris Verhagen and the Careers & Employabilty Service at the University of Liverpool, students were provided with the opportunity to meet potential employers, find out about opportunities for students and graduates – and a chance to meet professional geologists working in different fields of activity.

This free to attend event ran from 11am to 3.30pm and there was a good turn-out of first- to fourth-year students. PESGB was joined by a range of other organisations including British Oceanographic Data Centre, Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management, Teach First, Roger Bullivant, Natural England, Geotechnics, United Utilities, Stantec and Bibby Hydromap.

The PESGB aided by Glyn Carter, Scientist/ Director of Integrated Reservoir Solutions Limited (IReS) made, as usual, a great contribution!
