Sophie Guy-Pearson joining Aberdeen YP Committee
Sophie joined Oil & Gas UK in 2016 and is now Lead Business Adviser in their Aberdeen office, working as part of the Market Intelligence team.  Sophie is engaged with several industry initiatives which are working towards improving the competitiveness of the UKCS and achieving MER, one example is the Competitive Well Delivery Initiative which aims to achieve a more sustainable cost of drilling in the basin.  She also co-authors some of Oil & Gas UK’s flagship reports, such as the Business Outlook and Economic Report.  Sophie holds a degree in Geology from the University of Leicester and an MSc in Integrated Petroleum Geoscience from the University of Aberdeen. Welcome Sophie!

Valentino Gomez joining Aberdeen YP Committee
Valentino has recently joined the Aberdeen YP Committee. He has 5 years experience in the oil and gas industry after graduating with an MSc in Petroleum Geoscience from the University of Aberdeen. After attending PESGB events in Aberdeen for the past year, Valentino wished to become more involved and has since joined the YP committee.

Jade Metcalfe joining London YP Committee
Jade is a structural geologist and holds an MSc in Structural Geology and Geophysics from the University of Leeds and a BSc in Geology from University College London. She has been president of the UCL Geology Society and has previously worked for Schlumberger Oilfield Services. Welcome Jade!
